5th Gear Problem

Can anyone shed any light on this problem. Whilst exiting the motorway yesterday I tried to downshift from 6th to 5th but I couldnt get it into 5th. There was just to much resistance to get it in. I tried depressing the clutch but no luck. I went into 4th then upto 5th and it goes as normal. It seems I cant get 5th at all unless I go from 4th??? This only happens when on the move as when parked up it goes into 5th always. Its realy frustrating having to do a dumy select 4th to get to 5th. Anyone got any ideas - I would be greatful.
The cars done 80k miles got a Viezu remap and a Helix clutch & SMF.

Try new gear box linkages

Does new linkage's require taking the gearbox out or can it be done while in, its just ive got something similar but with 2nd.

gb in. The links are the cables attached to the top of the gear box seen next to the battery

Ooh and run into the cabin? How much do they cost? They easy to change?

the clips are easy enough, finding them after they have pinged off isn't so easy, lol

The problem has been getting pregressively worse and I know cannot get 4th/5th/6th first time, I have two jiggle about until they select. Once selected their fine. I reset the 2 linkages last night using the home position method as described in a video on another thread and checked their condition and they look fine. Unfortunately this didn't work. I think after 105k miles the gearbox is starting to get worn. Any one any ideas on the cost of a recon/replacement?
