Guys i need a stainless steel 6 by 4 inch oval end piece, so i can take of my backbox and replace it onto a straight tube with the oval welded to the end, does anyone know where i can get one from

Look for a local stainless steel fabricator and ask them to knock one up, but they will charge you a lot of money for a one off.

Alternatively find a Magnex 6 x 4 oval on a written off car, make them an offer for the back box and start cutting and TIG welding.

Have a friendly word with your local exhaust fabricator, somebody like Powerflow or somebody similar. They might be able to help.

He's taking off the back box and puting a straight pips on with a 6x4 bit welded on the tip...it's a TDI

Noise, primarily. Will make it a lot louder and raspier. Might even drown out the sound of the engine.....

My mate owns a custom exhaust company, i can have a word to see how much he'll charge for an oval 6x4, or you want a 7x5 think thats what the blueflame is i have, sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong!

I'm thinking about having this done. How loud would it be and what about back pressure?

Simple answer is dont, the backbox is there for a reason,
well many, especially on a turbo car the exhaust it there to help back pressure.
The sound won't be that hot.
Just better getting a custom backbox made, ~150 quid, or cat back ~270 or turbo back ~650 incl cat.

Got this catalogue from the Autosport Show for exhaust bits and bobs: 6 x 4 oval tailpipe £42. If thats any help to you. They do everything including pipes, cats, tailpipes, brackets, bends, airfilters and loads of other stuff.
