I remember back in the winter that I went to the car at about 3am to get something I'd left in there and the car was covered in ice, apart from the part of the bonnet over the turbo which hadn't yet frozen. The car had been parked up at 6pm.

9 hours later, did you not do a warm down before you switched off.

No, I just drove at 120 mph through the village where I work, did a handbrake turn into the car park and switched the engine straight off.

Continuing the original theme of this thread a few things I've found after a few weeks with the new Leon (compared to a MKV Golf before)

- No lock on glove box
- No height adjustment of seat belt on B pillar (even my 1997 other car has this)
- Sun visor doesn't extended backwards when across side windows
- Boot floor doesn't hang up out the way
- locking wheels bolts are sh*t
- Factory jack locating method is sh*t, jack it's self is good (but golf and Octavia the same)

I'm sure there's another...

Still this doesn't detract from the driving experience or my love for the car and most you don't think about when buying!

Just a question - what for you need a lock on glovebox?!?? I really do not know what for. I am curious.. :)

If you are afraid against thieves, then this is really the last point I would afraid. To open locked glovebox takes ca. 3s and it just makes more damages to your car... I had possibility to lock glovebox in my previous cars, but never did it.. Never.... So what is the reason? :)

I was thinking the same - the only car I've ever had with a locking glove box on was my MR2 which being a soft top made sense for when you parked up with the roof down.

True never really used it. Curious why no lock or look at it another way why does say the golf have one...
All these little differences add up with a little less sound proofing here and there. I guess if they didn't all cars (the A3, Golf and Leon would be the same, short of the badge and body shape)

If a thief breaks in they take what they want regardless, agreed.

I've only got the 2 options as well on FR 184

Just did a small vid of it working in my car (assuming its what you want) but im at work so cant upload it now... so in text terms, you want to go into Radio... Setup...Seek Mode - Preset List.

Then the buttons on the left of your steering wheel will now go between the favorite stations and not scan.

that's awesome mate, just changed it no problem. i hadn't even considered that the Seek Mode would apply to the steering wheel :banghead2 thanks for your time and effort :)

Guys, if JimiC can do this i should be able to as well (also have Navhigh) On radio i go to setup, and that's where i get stuck. No seek, i can see scan... this is bugging me....?

So on mine if i have the radio screen loaded, i press setup at the bottom and the seek mode is the third option down. The options are "Preset List" or "Station List" - you have it on preset to go through your favorites.

From setup on DAB or FM band i have 7 options; Sound, Scan, Traffic, Delete presets, Station logos, Radio text, Advanced.
Advanced has nothing much in it, station tracking etc.

I have the same list but with Seek Mode in between Scan and Traffic. perhaps yours is listed elsewhere.
