6 speed gearbox on a 2.3 v5?

This could be a long shot but thought i'd ask anyway. Does anyone know of any 6speed gearbox' that will go onto the 2.3 v5 engine. I've recently had a 2.3 v5 conversion done on my leon and I love it, i just wish i had that extra gear on the motorway

6 pot 6 speed boxes should work unless you go gemini etc

Mmm, interested to see if you get this sorted, i've always felt fifth is a little low geared for cruising.

What i did was put a diesel 5th gaer in my MK2 Golf 20v for the motorway crusing but still remained a street sprinter! You couls possibly do that to yours rather than changing box/clutch/DMF/shifter etc

ah, that could be the way to go, i heard something on another forum a while ago about someone doing this with a v5 gearbox and a new longers 5th gear but his way sounded very expensive. What kind of price range did you get yours done for if you don't mind me asking... and how much did the longer 5th gear cut your revs by at say 75mph

Had mine done through Stealth Racing, was done while the box was on the car. Vince went through the ratios before hand and we ordered the gearset from VW, think it cost me £400 fitted inc part, then i think i was sitting at 2.5-3k doing 80mph (cant remember exact amount as iv not had car for a while)
