6th gear problem. HELP?!?!?!?!?

Hi all having a bit of a problem over the weekend and was wondering if anyone knows or has had the same problem. Basically I can change into any gear: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and Reverse with no problem, no grinding or any other noises or jolts.

But when it comes to 6th the stick gets stopped, it’s like there is no 6th gear I have to then push the stick back into 5th and quickly down into 6th to get into gear properly. Is this linkage related????? Like I said the gearbox feels fine it literally feels like I can’t select 6th like someone has removed it.

Does sound like a simple problem like the gear linkage by the way you describe it

thanks. what is the easiest way to get to the linkage. And what do I need to Adjust?

from experiance check the nut on the selector shaft and grease the slider on the linkage
do a google for O2Q gearbox - 7th result down is the vw workshop manual

Problem now sorted The Nut was loose. Tightened it up and feels so much better.
Now slips into every gear with ease! Thanks
