Without the power cap the lights dim and the power would be drained in minutes.

Exactly the problem is the battery and alternator, there is voltage drop somewhere. Adding a power cp is only adding more load to the battery.

Upgrade the grounding cables on the alternotr and battery first as these are more often than not where voltage drop occurs! Will save people about £100 on not buying a power cap If you want to know more I am sure i can copy and past the technical stuff

Considering a power cap is only £35 on ebay for a 1.2 farad one. Its done the job lol but my powercap is only wired into the amp and is being charged by the battery. yes its more load but then it beats fart assin about with cables under the car etc

My Cupra came with Pioneer 6x9s already in it and it and sounds excellent so yes the headunit is plenty powerful enough. In fact I was quite surprised how good it does sound. Plenty of bass, virtually sounds like its got a sub in and I find the front speakers good enough, makes for a nice all round sound.
I'll get you the model no. of the Pioneers if you want.

TBH the headunit is powerfull enough as its 4x20watt 'RMS' which is good, even tho a brand name headunit says 4x50w that is its peak power-if you look at the specifications in the instructions book it will say something like 27-35watt 'RMS' per channel

Most 6x9's would be 50wRMS + so in my opinion it is no where near good enough to power. In my opinion if your going to upgrade speakers then amp them otherwise your never going to get the best out of them

Just been out today, got some infinity 6x9`s and saw a real nice alpine amp, think im gonna get it when i get paid. Will install it all at the same time, should sound good.

Why dont you fit the 6x9s first and see how it sounds? Then if your not happy with it get an amp. Might save yourself some cash and hassle.
