I have a small query,

When you are changing a clutch, do you have to remove the nut and bolt from the front engine mount??

Since i got my clutch done ive had this hanging part. Its where the 2 connectors plug in together and are then mounted onto a metal bracket. One comes from the lamba sensor and the other to the ecu or where ever.

Only reason im asking is looking at pictures of my engine in the haynes manual etc to looks like its mounted onto the bolt of the front engine mount.

Maybe someone can shed some light.

Thanks in advance.

too dark to see properly... but from memory I think you're right, the bracket does attache to the front engine mount bracket...

I thought that. If you could have a look when its light that would be great.

Ive moved it around that area and the front engine mount is the only place it could really be. Plus there is a mark on the bracket where the nut has been touching and the only one that is the same size as the mark is the one at the engine mount.

just had a look on the gf's car (now it's light!)

and the bracket bolts to the side of the engine underneath where the coolant pipes from the radiator enter the block.....

have got a couple of pics, will stick them up in a bit.....

Thanks alot mate. Its only taped round something just now because it was just hanging and swinging about.

Is there a washer between the block and the bracket? Its just there is a circle mark on the bracket on both sides where like a nut/bolt has been.
