A warning sign???

Hi guys,

Got in my car today, to go get my brother from his mates.

The car was still warm, as I had only just got back from Uni in Bristol, so had been on the M-way for a good 40 mins.

Went to boot it on the dual carriageway, which is up a fairly steep incline. Got to 60, in third, just before I went to change to fourth, all power went.

This carried on all the way to get my brother, I stuck my head out the window, and couldn't hear the usual turbo spool, and this is where the power went flat.

Switched off engine, turned back on 5 seconds later, an it was fine.

Is this a warning sign of things to come??

Just hit 106k today, service due in 1800 miles....

Any advice is appreciated.

Oh, its a 110 TDi SE 51' plate.

Cheers,

Ben

from what i understand there was no warnign light..

it just seemed to go into a type of limp mode!?

you will need to vag com it, there are alot of things it could be. but feel free to check for loose, cracked / damaged pipes under the bonnet.

Yeh, no warning lights at all. It then worked fine when restarted... which was odd.

I have changed the MAF in the time I had it.
