Ive recently heard that if you swap the inlet manifold (50mm inlet) on a 2.0 16v ABF Cupra
to a 42mm inlet manifold this will increase your acceleration??

Does any 1 know if this is true?

Cheers

i heard it would increase the accelreration but top end would be reduced??
do you know if this is true?

if im right that would give you less power so less accelreration and top end. as you'd strangle the engine like mork said. and if you did do it. i would think youd have to have the ecu remapped to cope. so i cant see there's much point

improves the torque hence why the abf is that shape but will strangle top end which is where the 16v is at its best anyway

people do the opposite to the 1.8 golf Valvers , cant see why youd go from a 50mm to a 42mm.. kinda going backwards a little.. if you want power stick a newman/kent cam in the thing or 2 as the case is
