Abs Ecu

On the 2.0 16v SX (1997) model, is the ABS ECU part of the ABS hydraulic unit or is it mounted separately? If separately, where is it mounted please?

under the centre console i always thought

Its right under the dash on the would be transmission tunnel -

Mines easy to get to

The only thing mounted on the "transmission" tunnel on mine is the airbag "brain" - nothing else.

it's 'in' the ABS unit itself

Ok, thanks. That's what I feared. I was hoping I could unplug it and send it to be mended, but replacing the whole ABS unit is beyond my abilities.

it's pretty easy removal (undo brake lines etc etc and a couple of nuts)
