Hi guys/girls

Was out in my cupra yesterday as i changed all my vaccum hoses from standard and thought id see the difference, anyway it was raining a bit, so accelerated not too hard in second and the traction control kicked in but the light remained on  so i decided to head home as i thought something must be wrong. As i came to a roundabout i stopped, moved forward round it and my back end swung round :-o i then had to full lock the wheel and ended up hitting the kurb :censored:  . Luckily no cars were coming round so was ok. There are no dents or major damage but the right wing and bumper around the light have come out slightly and the bump strip has had it so only a couple of grazes on the bumper. Dont know why this happened but maybe a abs sensor not working or something? I was only doing 15-20 mph aswell.

gutted for you mate

when my tc light stayed on it was my maf, but theirs about a million things it could be, plug it into vagcom and see what the errors showing

ok cheers guys, ill get it looked at this week asap .. dont know howe much its gonna cost to repair it too .. is the car driveable i.e. should i drive like a granny ...

Mine was ok once the light was on, then then abs wasn't working so drove fine it was just waiting for the light to come on, that could be interesting!

Probably wouldn't drive to much as it is quite a vital thing to be able to stop safely! esp after what has happened already!

I got a new abs sensor for £25 from gsf they are about £50 from a dealer and they are sided so you need to get the right one.

o dear .. where can i get one if thats the case? ill get it looked at tomorrow hopefully ..

You must of let off or braked round the corner to get the back end out on ya????

Wouldn't have thought that the maf would cause you to get the back end out round a corner! not at 20mpm!

Not even braking at the speed would cause the back end to come out unless the rear was over braking?

Yeah rite!!!!! Don't know how it was possible to lose the back end at 20mph??? Maybe a patch of oil / deisel???
