Hi,
Looking to see if anyone can help. I have a 2019 leon cupra 300st 4drive , other than the typical water pump/thermostat housing issue the car has never given any trouble. The car has been behaving normally under all driving conditions however during a recent service I noticed the car had thrown a fault code despite not presenting with any light son the dash ! The code was a Engine Electronics P164E00 code, saying there was an electrical error with the oil pressure regulation valve.
I did a bit of further investigation and the connection looked clean for this valve and no visible corrosion. I tried to clear the code but it wouldn't. The car drove fine for a few weeks after servicing then under load one day on the motorway there was a slight stutter over 3500rpm , I have since had this happen multiple times under load. I pulled spark plugs and checked coil packs, all seem fine. However the same code remained. I decided to change the part as this is the only fault the car is throwing and replaced with a genuine VAG oil pressure regulation valve from seat themselves. Following changing this part I attempted to clear code but it still said there was an open circuit and code wouldn't clear. I've since driven the car again and under load I am still getting the same stutter from the engine.
Has anyone experienced this or can offer any further advice before I drop the car into a vag specialist as this is killing the drive of an otherwise fantastic all round car ! I should note the car is completely stock and unmapped.
Thanks in advance
