Aceleration issue

Aceleration issue with cupra tdi

When I initialy press the acelerator in 5th and 6th I get a sight jerk and the rev needle twitches slightly and then rises as usual. Any ideas

Its only done 8K.

I dont get the jerk or the rev needle twitching once past the innitial bite of the accelerator. Its only once you lift fully off the pedal then depress it again that you get the slight jerk that and then goes.

that will be all the drive load being applied in forward force then when released it will take load off then when you apply the throttle again the delay is in the play of the engine_clutch_transmittion_props_then the wheels

I am not doin it repeatedly....its just whenever the acceletor is fully off then you apply some pressure there is a judder and the rev need twitches. However if the acceleator is already pressed a bit and you put more pressure on there is no judder and the car speeds up.

this is because when you already have the accelorator down the engine load is all being transformed to the wheels (apart from maybe exstreamly slight loss in transmission and clutch) as all the load is there the more you apply its straight to the wheels but with no accelorator no engine load(power) being transformed to the wheels and when applied needs to engage all power tarian too wheels then make wheels spin

but to put it in none technical terms its the play in drive tarain

its hard to exsplain but i hope ul understand

I dont have it in mine, but mine is the FR Tdi, but its running 170+ bhp so should be similar to yours??

Do the revs go up without the car accellerating. It could be the sign of a worn clutch, but as you say, its only done 8k and isnt modded, so it shouldnt be that.
Is it still under warranty?? get the dealer to have a look before something lets go?

The car is now in the garage for a few warranty things. I have been given a seat leon 140 tdi. This does exactly the same thing so I guess its normal and you were right Rash!
