Hello everyone,

I would like to activate the following options on my Leon 5F Cupra SC 300 from 2018:

- Fold mirrors automatically when closing the doors via remote control or doors

- Indicators ; Increase the number of flashes to 5 instead of 3

- Fan speed display in auto mode

- Beep when locking / unlocking the doors (I have the alarm)

- Sweeping of the hands at start-up, if possible because I don't know if compatible with the digital cockpit)

I have an official VCDS cable from Rosstech and I installed VCDS in French.

I found the operations to be done on the forum and on other websites, but I cannot find the same channels in the calculators to be modified. In addition, very few are in French or English, most are in German and German and I make 2!

Example for 5-pulse comfort indicators;

Normally the channel is: (2) - Turn signal control

But I only have IDE00…. Or ENG…. And nothing that seems to match.

Help, Help

Best regards

If all. You want is them simple options just buy carista, cost you 30 quid witha. Free month trial, then you just tick what you want and the app does the rest, dont really need a vag com for that

Change language to English for VCDS.
Then cross search for Golf MK7 and the mod you would like to do as they share the same logic / coding with the Leon 5f. I've done all of those mods with VCDS.

I need to plug my Cupra into VCDS over the weekend, so will take some photos/screen shots.

Some of the options that you required were standard on my MY19 and it will have a later revision of the digital dash.

In terms of using VCDS, I have been using it on pre-MQB, 1st generation MQB and latest generation MQB platforms that require V2 Hex-Net etc cables, so the logic is already understood. However, once you get the hang of it, it will make sense.

First rule of VCDS club is save a log file before you make any changes - always!

Apologies - I had not used my laptop for 269 days so had many Windows updates to complete. My go to location for coding is here:

Mirror Folding:

Indicators:

Fan Speed:

Beep Locking/Unlocking:

Needle Staging:

Ok, first off, complete an 'Auto Scan' and 'Save' a log file.

Mirror Folding: (note these were both active and activated from the factory on my vehicle)

Open control module '09 - Cent. Elect.'
Open function 'Security Access - 16' and enter code '31347'
Open function 'Adaptation - 10'
In the search box type 'Spiegelanklappung' (mirror folding in german - this will reduce the number of adaptation channels when you use the 'drop down' menu)
You will then have two adaptation channels:
- The one with the text 'modus' you will need to change the value to 'by look command via remote control key' - this enables the mirror closing with remote key
- The one with text 'signalisierung' you will need to change to active - this enables a menu option on the infotainment that you can toggle on/off in the vehicle settings>>mirrors options
Close the adaptations down, check the soft reset, and click 'do it'

Indicators:

Open control module '09 - Cent. Elect.'
Open function 'Security Access - 16' and enter code '31347'
Open function 'Adaptation - 10'
In the search box type 'Blinken' (indicator in german - this will reduce the number of adaptation channels when you use the 'drop down' menu)
You will need the channel 'ENG141649-ENG116587....'
Change the new value to 5
Close the adaptations down, check the soft reset, and click 'do it'

Fan Speed:

Open control module '08 - Auto. HVAC.'
Select function 'Coding - 07'
Go to 'Byte 11', and check 'Bit 6 - Activate Blower Status Display in AUTO-mode active'
Close and 'Do It'

Beep when locking/unlocking:

Open control module '09 - Cent. Elect.'
Open function 'Security Access - 16' and enter code '31347'
Open function 'Adaptation - 10'
In the search box type 'Akustische' (this will reduce the number of adaptation channels to 7 when you use the 'drop down' menu)

I didn't have time to complete this fully, but I would follow the stemei.de link and broadly follow the directions there for adaptation channel options.

Needle Staging:

This did not work on my vehcile with revised digital dash - I was able to change the long coding, but this didn't do anything. The module was then difficult to recode back to the original settings.

Instructions are here though:

Open control module '17 - Instruments'
Open function 'Security Access - 16' and enter code on the pop-up window; mine used the second code, but yours may be different.

Initially I used the adaptations using 'staging' but this returned a 'channel not found'
I then used the long coding, 'Byte 1', and checked 'Bit 0'. The coding was accepted, but as above, this did not work. Ultimately, needle staging is to provide confirmation that the mechanical instruments are functioning correctly, whereas this is not required on a digital display.
