Adjusting front windscreen washer nozzles

Hi,

I had the windscreen replaced on my Freetrack yesterday, and noticed today that the washer nozzles are not aligned properly. They're basically squirting right at the bottom of the windscreen so not much of the washer fluid is getting on to the rest of the windscreen.

I've noticed that it's not the usual type of hole that you can just stick a pin into and adjust, but more like a slot. So before I go fiddling around with it does anyone have any advice on the correct way to adjust these nozzles please?

Many thanks.

Actually, having now looked at it in a bit more detail I've realised that the problem is not the alignment of the nozzles but that they're just not forming the water into the usual V-shaped spray but instead it's just coming out from each nozzle as a rather limp spray of water drops about 3 to 4 inches high.

Has anyone had this happen after a windscreen replacement?

I've had all sorts of issues after windscreen replacements, right bunch of cowboys if you ask me. The last one told me my rain sensor didn't need the little bit of gel in front of it. Lo and behold, my auto wipers stopped working.

To me that sounds like they've refitted the trim panel and 'kinked' the water pipe somehow.

Well it remains to be seen if the rain sensor is still working ok, but I've just noticed that the housing around it is now cracked and broken. Also noticed that the plastic trim on the bonnet hasn't been refitted correctly (which might explain why the washers aren't working properly).

Autoglass, for it is they, are sending someone back out to look at these issues. I've told them not to send the same incompetent person that caused it all in the first place.

'Cowboys' sounds about right.[:@]

"usually complete spanners doing a job without due care and attention."

So it seems.
Trouble is, the windscreen replacement market is basically cornered by just a couple of companies, and as it's not really a DIY job they've got you by the balls really, and they know that the business is still going to come in regardless of how shoddy their workmanship is. Disgraceful really.
