It's not boost pressure air I'm talking about it's crankcase pressure from the crank and rocker cover, I think we have our wires crossed, my original post refered to the comment rob made regarding 10-15mm hose causing restriction, a build up of unreleased crank pressure could cause problems, but any air entering the tip after the maf is unmetered anyway, only way you'd have a boost leak with anything connected with PCV removal or catch can fitting is if you didn't blank the manifold outlets off.

My AUQ had 2 outlets, apparantly its the later type revision AUQ engine

Yes mate, me and peter (seatcupramad) done our catch cans together, both AUQ engines, his had 1 outlet mine had 2 outlets under the inlet manifold
Phew, mines also AUQ, i also have 2 outlets....did u block them both off mate????

how far down have u put the vent pipe??? im venting to atmosphere, well, will be when it arrives. and hope venting to atmosphere IS ok the 15mm fittings on the can ive ordered - i cant find 15mm hose, so will 16mm hose be ok?? from can then use 16mm hose and sleeve into 19mm hose
Let me ask my dad if he can make you some 15-19mm adaptors on tuesday when he goes back to work, be in stainless, take him two seconds and I'll post em to you, there done!![]()

All you need then is some 15mm id hose to connect from can then 19mm hose to the rest of the fittings on the crankcase and rocker cover ect ect.
