Hi all,

i just registered to the forums so i'm a newbie.

i'm picking up a 54plate ibiza cupra this week and my first plans are to get a dump valve, new exhaust system (cat back) and lower it (probably on springs).

i've had a quick look on some websites but not having much luck at the moment, alot of sites i have been on only stock parts for the old ibizas

not sure about the dump valve, i have never owned a turbo so recommendations and advice would be good on what one to get and possibly where from

as for the exhaust, i want an oval backbox, i was thinking a magnex but are there any others that are better? suppliers?

and i'll probably lower it, what are the standard shocks like? is it advice to get a kit or are just springs ok? also what brands are best? eibach? koni? spax?

thanks in advance!

im looking to get my car lowered hopefully in august....

i havent made my mind up yet but personally im gonna go for FK silverline coilovers or KW Variant 1 coilovers. From what i've researched (and from what the nice people on here have told me!) they have good reputation and will drop ur motor on its nuts!

but it depends on how low your wanting to go? maybe springs might be fine for you

Think the recirc valves are supposed to be better for the 1.8T engine, iv heard that they dont like dump valves, try doing a search and im sure u will find out! :D

yeah people have had probs with normal type dv. the splitter valve will give u some noise and keep the correct amount of airflow to prevent faults. if its only for the dump valve noise do a search for a video with one fitted, to me it sounded like it just enhanced the 'whooshy' noise rather than give any kinda dump noise but i aint heard one properly so could be wrong. iv also read that on a standard car its very quiet. so for these reasons i decided not to bother with one for now.

for the exhaust its gotta be a milltek and i must defo recommend if you are getting the backbox oval like me then also get the 2.5 inch downpipe sports cat lets the turbo wind up earlier sounds louder and is more throaty! very good mod

if i where you i would by

green pannel filter to replace the stadar element in you standard airbox
turbo intake pipe silicone hose
forge 007recirculating valve or forge spluit r valve
sports cat milltek- i have 1 4sale :cheeky:
backbox oval milltek
coilovers or 30mm lowering spring -depending on the look you want
REMAP- best £ 4 bhp mod you can do see increases from 180bhp standard to 220bhp Custom-code or revo

good luck with the new motor and welcome to scn

i bought a full system consisting of a backbox centre box and sports cat and setme back about £600 the sports cat was £280 new!! i had it on the car about 2 months and then it had to be removed as i got a bigger turbo kit and this down pipe wouldnt fit the kit its in new condition and is a bargain at £170 imo!!!!

oval milltek cat back will be all you need to buy and it will twin with the sports cat i have for sale i even have the adapter to fit this sports cat to a standard cat back if you dont have enough money for now !
