Ol1 I have a 100bhp SE version great car really not fast but keeps up easily with most cars on the road, its a great cruiser on the M/W. Have a look for an SE version has more toys.

i was 18 when i got my cupra petrol :p with 0 years ncb! Try admiral they are dirt cheap for fast cars and young drivers do it online and change all the settings around add addition drivers other than your bro e.g ur mum or dad! i got my cupra insured now with only 1 years ncb for £1580

Not fast unless you remap it and with a few other tweaks 150bhp wont be slow :D

On a side note, are the standard brakes on a 1.9 PD100 288mm?

Hi mate, I'm only 19 but I've got an FR 130TDI. Insurance was really reasonable from elephant.co.uk. Had 2 years no claims when I got it, infact I was 18 when i first insured it (got double no claims or something). But seriously, try elephant they were really good.
Also had a bump recently, and they tried really hard to swing it in my favour (didnt work but nevermind)

elephant and admiral are the same company and are both exstreamly cheap for young drivers.

confused.com and moneysupermarket.com are pants for price comparrisons! as the cheapest they got for me was in the region of £5k

sorrry to keep asking stuff, but can someone just clear something up for me..

the 1.9TDi Sport (100ps) 3d is deffo group 5 yeah? Parkers say it is, but some seat dealer today told me it was definatly group 8, which i think is strange as thats the same group as the FR PD130

Hope it group 5 anyways as i shall be purchasing one pretty soon me thinks.

Yeah, the 1.9 TDi Sport with 100ps is Group 5.

Ive got one with a re-map and the PD160 Intake and panel filter pushing 150bhp and its more than fast enough.

T.Spark - The standard brakes on the 1.9TDi PD100 are 256mm according to the brochure. 288mm are the FR's brakes.
