Aerial Removal _Help

I was wondering if anybody has removed there aerial from there car ive tried today but it only screws off so far then nothing i dont want to pull it or anything incase it breaks

If it's anything like my Leon one, it's just the anti theft jobby on it. Just pulled it whilst holding the base and it came off and caused me to punch myself in the head!

i think you have to get under the roof lining and unscrew it from the inside...?
thats just the impression i got anyway

to remove the whole thing the roof lingin has to come off then its just one bolt

I´m thinking about changing my aerial as well.. The "anti-theft-lock/jobby" on the aerial, how does it work? Can you just replace the oem aerial with another one with the same threads on the "bolt" or am i going to have to change the "foot" to be able to put on an aerial with another design?

If your replacement aerial has the same thread it should just screw in once the old one is removed.

havent had it done, tried to get to the bolt under the head lining but, just too bloddy hard..the lining is very fragile and creases very easily. not sure on where to go from here
