gave the car a quick clean, polish and wax tonight, was seriously dirty, especially after all the grubby finger prints from the exhaust and FMIC being fitted, she was in desperate need of a wash!
did not have time to give it the full attention as it was after work today, so only had about 2 hours to clean it, here are the results. Pics are not that great.
What I used:
Meguiars Gold class cleaner
Meguiars Quick Spray Polish (used it all up thank god as its awful!)
Autosmart Carnauba Wax (it was OK to start with but have almost finished this now, and moving onto better waxes!)
used of course the two bucket method. Only had time to give it one wash.
Usually If i have the day, I would clay bar the whole car as well.
as I have used up most of the products I have, as it taught me the basics to detailing to start, but I am now moving up to better products as alot more confident now
The pictures are not that great, as I could not get the flash to turn off!
the paint work was not in great condition when I got the car about 4 months ago, and have restored it bit by bit, but it really needs professionally detailing as there are a number of cobweb/swirl marks on the car, which I cannot get rid of by hand, so need to get a machine or someone to do it
next on the list is:
Meguiars Clay
Meguiars 80 speed glaze
Meguiars 7 show car glaze
Meguiars 21 Synthetic sealant
Victoria Concours Wax
moving away from cheap waxes, and spray on polishes, as I purchased these in my more inexperienced detailing days, and so can now happily say I have progressed to the next stage
I look forward to using the above list of products to see what the difference is in shine and depth to the car
