aftermarket headunit power cable dilema

i have fitted yet not wired up a aftermarket headunit and was wondering as the previous posts confuse me

how have some of you wired up the power cable. like where to as i have read that it either to the battery or the fuse box but does that mean it live all the time
im probly being stupid for asking this but i will anyway

if you have any pictures or any help i would be grateful

i already have a amp running of the standard headunit i could do that with no problems.


its just i have installed a second headunit in the glove box and wanted to know how to power it as running it off the standard headunit causes it to cut out once the volume is turned up

wat hedunit is it thjat u installed i have secondary hed unit but i had to remove my tape player and relocate sum wires to make it work properly!!

yer a secondary headunit
i have used the standard speaker iso and pluged that in
but the power iso i have connected most of the wires to the back of the standard headunit yet i dont think the standard power cable is safe to use as my secondary headunit cuts out
