Air Bag sensor

Had the Airbag warning light come up on the car (2004 110 Tdi Toledo) so got my local garage to hook the car up
scan says the drivers side bag sensor has gone open circuit
Do I need a new sensor or is it a loose wire?
Anyone know where the sensor is?
any idea how much it costs to buy one?

1st thing to check is the (yellow) plug under the seat ... after that it gets expensive

Both me and the mechanic have tried the plugs on both seats and VAGcom specifically lists the sensor as the problem
Think I will have to bite the bullet but it was worth a try.........

Had a quote from my garage today to fit the new sensor
£235 all in so as it is my side, and as there is no risk to my good looks (ha), it can stop as it is and I will just ignore the light
What a bleeding rip off
