Air-Fuel Ratio

Hey Peeps,

What faults if there is any can cause air fuel ratio being to high?

As im reading between 13-13.5:1 between 3200rpm and 5500rpm and was told this was to high and needs be between 12-12.5:1

Hmmm This is the first time ive ever had the read out off it so i woudnt know.... the car is running fine at the moment......

What are you using to measure it?

it was at a rolling road yesterday at rs tuning... do they use a probe in the exhaust?

Anywhere between 12.5 and 13.5 is perfectly safe and normal.

No it's not. It's on the lean side for a 1.8T under WOT.

What figures did you pull?

it pulled 224bhp and just under 260 lb ft.........the guy at the rollers said if you get the reading down to 12.5 ect you should see more power as the inlet temp would be lower as now its gets hot with the 13.5....

Could a lamba cause this problem?

when i was on jkm's dd rollers they said my zeitronix was exactly the same as their afr reader
