Airbag controller...where is it?

I managed to turn my airbag warning light on while fitting a head unit.

I have VAG-com and can turn it off but I don't want to do this until I find out what part no. my airbag controller is (Its a 2000 car so could have one of the faulty parts)

Does anyone know where this is located? under the dash maybe?

Thanks

Its not a dash out job. Remove the centre console and the lower air ducting for the heaterbox. Then you can get into the three 10mm nuts to remove it.

They could well get it off the chassis number.

Easiest way is to get it using diag equipment, the number comes up when you interogate the ECU.

Arhh could be the way forward.
Is there any way of doing this via vag-com without scanning the airbag module?

2004 was the last post on this thread, also you are on the Leon page.

Might be worth starting a new thread on the Ibiza page.

A quick look on google says that is located in the same location as the Leon, in the central tunnel right by the bulkhead, under the dash.
