Airbag light - help required!

Just fixed vile & scary grinding sound coming from steering but missed one of the Airbag connectors before reconnecting the battery.

Now the blasted Airbag warning light refuses to go out & aleady skint after 4 new tyres & new suspension.

Think this needs resetting with VAG COM or something.

Anyone able to help near Herts area?

have u tried leaving the battery off for an extended time , maybe an hour or so ,

bingo, ten mins with the battery disconnected and a door left open to discharge any residual voltage left in the system.

Left battery disconnected overnight - airbag light still on

Checked cables & continuity OK - 5v pulsing arriving at Airbag.
Any more ideas or have I managed to b*gger this right up?

You may have to get vagcom and try .

If not it MAY have a permenant fault stored in the bags controler.

or youve broken the coil in the back of the steering wheel,managed to do mine whils disconnecting the steering rack

problem sorted by fitting a new steering wheel and resetting the light
