Hi guys

I have the same problem. After reading your answers they put my mind to rest for a bit, but then I looked into the owner's manual which says:

"Ensure that when the ignitions os switched to the 'ON'position, the 'AIRBAG OFF' warning light does not come on."

Any ideas?

That 'AIRBAG OFF' light is for the passenger airbag. Its meant to go off after its initial check. There is a key in the glovebox for turning it on/off. If its turned on and the light comes on then there is a fault. It means comes on and stays on.

The key in the glovebox is turned to ON. The light comes on for a few seconds when I start the car and then goes off, is that suppose to happen? If yes, what about what they said in the owners manual(quoted before)?

What they have said in the owners manual is referrin to the light staying lit.
If you look at your dash when you put on your ignition you'll also get other lights on like EML, ABS, drivers airbag etc and then they go out aswell after a few secs. Its just what Nearly all cars do, and also lets you know the light is still there an hasnt been removed by a previous owner to hide a fault ;)
