Airbag warning light after replacing radio

Anyone replaced the car radio and seen the airbag warning light then come on the dashboard?

This has happened to me and I wonder if it can be because I drove the car while the cables from the back of the radio unit were all unplugged?

Because the cables were unplugged when you turned the ignition on the air bag system has seen a fault. You need to plug a odb reader in and reset the error code.
