Alpine SPR-17C

Had some fun today fitting some Alpine SPR-17C speakers in the front doors of my Mk4 Cupra Tdi. Once i'd managed to drill out the rivets from the old speakers, i had to widen the existing hole and make some homemade spacers out of 18mm MDF. Knowing my luck, someone will start manufacturing speaker adaptors for the Mk4 tomorrow But still, i had fun and it was all worth it coz they sound superb and i'd highly recommend these speakers to anyone

Can't believe Autoleads don't make any spacer rings yet. MDF will fine as it will provide a decent mounting platform. A very good speaker, had them in the back of my Leon and couldn't fault them at all.

I guess there can't be enough demand for them - yet. Just ordered another pair of those Alpine's for the back. So more rivet drilling and tin bashing for moi

Yeah it looks like your right, if you look on his items for sale on page 2, he's got some 2002 onwards adaptors. I wonder who makes them because Autoleads certainly don't do any
