Hi Guys n Gals, Names Alan and im seriously thinking of buying an LCR mk1 2003, so whilst doing a bit of digging on the net i came across this forum and thought its best i join as i can get a lot better advice from u guys as u actually own this type of car, iv bn offered this car at such short notice as i was looking for something for over the winter but this seemed to be to good an opportunity to pass up, the way i see it is i was looking for a 4dr preferably a diesel and 4wd but cheapish to run, but the LCR seemed to tick the most boxes, 80k full SH, Gd Con, 4drs, 1.8 and being a 6 speed should safe more on fuel and it has a remap also it looks smart with the 18s and with it being mapped and turbo'd isnt pure slow so i get the best of both worlds

long intro sorry but if theres any info u could give me to help me in this decision id be very grateful.

well thats if i get it, got the cash just need to see wat the car is like in the flesh, im either seeing it tomorrow or friday so the RR day could be a plan, providing im happy at the way its running and stuff as i dont wana chance firing it on and something going tits up with it :O

Well the rolling road is the perfect place to see how it runs THe 1.8 t's are pretty bullet proof, a few coil pack issues etc. Is it remapped?

yeah its mapped, stage 1 i believe (the much debated 270bhp mark) and had new coil packs fitted last year i believe

Should e fine then mate. In reality a stage 1 lcr will not make 270 without supporting mods and a good stage 2 remap. 250-260 is realistic but you will see on the dyno

Cheers, I have bn looking around it, its a bit like the SXOC wer i came from, they are a cracking bunch of lads on there, i went from having a highly tuned 200sx S14a to a bloody Jaguar X-Type.............how does that even happen???? albeit its the 2.5 Sport Arden model but still lol i want a turbo back in my life lol

RAGING!!!!! The guy whos car iv bn waiting to pick up since last week has decided not to sell it, WTF talk about a kick in the balls
