The Default Qi charger is not working properly with my iPhone 12 mini, so I've ordered Formentor without that option.

I'm thinking what's the best idea to replace it, maybe someone of you has tested it already and can share the experience.

1. Powerbank with Magsafe, with magnetic connection, it should be more stable than the default Qi charger. I'm afraid to keep a power bank inside the car during sunny days though.

2. This magnetic holder

3. Short cable. I prefer to go fully wireless, but maybe that simple solution is the best

I went for option three: I’m a fan of simplicity.

Why do you need a powerbank?

There is a USB connection, you can get a wireless charger for your phone - that fits it best and then plug the charger into the USB connection of the car. It should work. I am not sure if it will be able to charge at full power of the charger but in theory it should work. Similar to your magnetic holder solution

Problem with Qi charger in the car is not that it doesn't work, it's that the phone can slide around when put in the charger, there is nothing to hold it in place so once it slides to the side it loses the connection.

Powerbank would give a cleaner look (cordless), and the possibility to take it with me in case.
Those modern power banks have charge through option as well.

If Powerbank is risky to keep in car, I could replace it with MagSafe charger though.

I'm aware that sliding is the problem, that's why I'm thinking about buying something with Apple's MagSafe feature. Because magnetic connection prevents sliding.

USB connection is in the bay where the Qi charger usually sits, so if you have a wireless charger it can have a short USB connection to the car USB.

Powerbank would be cleaner when unplugged but if you need to charge it (and you do), you'll still plug it in.

In the end I think any solution will work, but it's good to investigate what will be the maximum power output that you can get from the car USB. If it is too low for decent wireless charger, opt for a powerbank with wireless capability.
