does any one know if this can be loosened, just to take the tension off the belt?
i wana do a trial fit of my charger and i can see it being a pain getting it all back together
my cars got a/c and pas if that makes any difference

You certainly can on a 2.0 8v. Just loosen the top and bottom nuts on the alternator and it will pivot on the top bolt giving you some slack in the belt.
 
You can. You use an adjustable spanner on the tensioner's arm... However, you have to hold the spanner in position so it can be a bit tricky to fit the alternator with one hand.

It might be easier to take the tensioner off to fit the alternator, then re-fit the tensioner, then fit the belt by using an adjustable spanner on the tensioner's arm to give you some slack.

I had to replace my alternator not too long ago so if you have any problems let me know.

EDITED NOTE: Just noticed you said charger. I read it as alternator first time round for some reason. If you're talking about a super charger then ignore everything about the alternator. lol.

Just make sure you WD40/Plusgas the tensioner and any pivot points - some trainee grease monkey managed to mangle half the tensioner teeth on my valver. Of course, this allowed the rust to set in as well so it was well and trully stuck! :censored:

i wana take at alternator off so i can make my charger bracket up. then put the alternator back on. till i got all the bits to fit every thing.. thanks for the help peeps
