Am I getting the run around ?

Hi folks, am I getting the run around from my dealer. My 2004 2.0 ibiza sport (18500 miles) has had the EVAP canister solenoid replaced twice in the last 2500 miles and now they say the oxygen sensor needs replacing. (same error code apparently) Only symptom is the warning light. Its taken them two days to decide on that one. The warranty runs out in two weeks. Also does anyone know if there should be a plastic cover behind the Seat badge/grill to protect the radiator. I could have sworn there was one there before I put it in the garage but now I aint so sure. cheers Dave

You could be getting the run around but if a fault occurred within the warranty time and occurs again outside warranty because it hasn't been resolved then they should cover it.

Don't think either my Petrol Fr or my TDI Sport have a plastic cover behind the S Badge/grill

Do you put supermarket fuel in it?

If so you could have actually burned out the o2 sensor if the fuel was contaminated. Tesco and Morrisons are paying up if SEAT won't, so get a claim in.

Thanks for response. I dont usually put supermarket fuel in the car and as far as I am aware the fuel problem didn't get this far north. The car is booked into the dealer (AC Alexandra Parade) on Tuesday but I dont have any confidence that they know what the problem is. The warning light switched itself off this afternoon and by some strange coincidence I got a letter this morning offering me a years extended warranty for a whopping £664....bargain or what!
