440's will be way too much - with their spray pattern and low boost & low airflow you'll be running so rich...

yeah - but it's not the amount of fuel if it's just tricking out

did you space out the 440's? they're not a direct fit are they?

Aye the spray pattern is different to that of the 380cc's however two people have used the green tops before on the AM04 turbo's and its what came reccomended to use by a certain company.

They do need 5mm~7mm spacers on the fuel rail, and from what I can gather the garage had done that too.

injectors are 440's and were recommended to me

they are in at the mo yes, im not caning it, im not even driving it until i need mapping and just taking it down then, at the mo :- 440's are fitted and standard maf and filter are on (only due to the other maf being suspect), going to change the 440's back to standard tomorrow as recommended by you guys

the car idles fine, seems to run fine, just running abit rich, but i was told to run it rich as its better then it running lean?? maybe its running too rich at the mo?? dont get any lights on dash and dont get any limp mode, running a full system scan in vagcom brings up the error that its running too rich

going to order a new maf tomorrow and swap the injectors over, when the new maf arrives should i fit the injectors with the maf? or leave it until i get to jabba? want to test the new maf out really if i can before i go to jabba

before i order a new maf im going to swap the maf element over first to see if that makes any different, big housing with standard element

forgot to mention, took it back to the garage last night, they are pretty much convinced its the dp thats blowing, they said its definatly AFTER the turbo, so rules out manni etc ... leaving it with them on saturday to sort out

starting to think the problems with the maf are fueling related now after speaking to various people/tuners. so changing the injectors back to standard tonight, im also going to try the bigger maf and filter on with the smaller standard injectors in place just to see if it starts and it is the problem is overfueling, (will go back to smaller unit once i have tested) if it starts with the smaller injectors and bigger maf, im guessing the mapping that jabba provide will sort this when the bigger injectors are in place with bigger maf ?

I'd be tempted to go with std injectors & std maf to get you to the tuners

that way everything is 'right'

just keep the boost very low

yeah im going to, going to leave injectors, maf and filter off until i get to jabba

im only going to put the bigger one on (maf) for a few mins just to see if the car starts, then replace it again, without the injectors iv been told it should start fine (fingers crossed) so this might save me buying a new maf
it will be whipped straight back off again then just leaving my car to get rained on until the 13th

would this be ok to try?

right, good and bad new, and when i say bad i mean, its pretty damn bad

good :- changed injectors back to standard tonight, started car, doesnt take 2 or 3 seconds to start idling properly anymore, idles good a 800rpm straight away, before hand it would jump up and down from 800rpm to 1100rpm for a few seconds then settle, spoke to jabba and they said they were happy to do the maf and injectors before mapping

bad :- putting the fuel rail back on, 2 10mm bolts, 1 on the left and 1 on the right, got the left one on, got the right one half way on and the bolt snapped !

how the hell do i get the other half of the bolt out? need help pretty sharpish as its mapping time on wednesday, do i need to get a engineer out to come and drill it out possibly? then tap n dye it?? think i might be pretty screwed here........

feel like f@ckin cryin at the mo, so p1ssed off !! :(

speaking to a mate then and he said that most garages will be able to do this and it happens all the time, is this true?

if so, i can get the local place to have a look at it when they sort out the exhaust...... ?? just after some peace of mind so i can sleep tonight ......
