Amber light on the right middle row???

Hi just a quick one if some one can help!

What does the amber light in the middle row on the right mean? It just went on and wont go away.

Sorry dont have my hand book with me at work. Anyone got ideas?

does it have a picture of an engine on it?

if so it is the check engine light (CEL) and could be many many things, vag com would be required to diagnose.

I'm pretty sure the CEL is far right on the middle row

HI all!

Amber excess pollution light was still on today so i decided to lift the bonnet to have a look for any loose pipes. Everything looked fine apart from when removing the cover from the engine the some pipes were crushed. I straighten these out got the cover back on carefully checked the MAF was clipped in okay then disconnected the battery for 10 mins or so.

After reconnecting the battery i left driver door open and the bonnet turned ignition(engine off) and waited a few minutes. After buzzin noise had gone i started the car and it was still present!!

i pressed on the gas pedal very lighty and vanish! it had disapeared and has not returned all day today. Fingers crossed for the next couple of days.

I Still will get it on Vag com tomorrow to make sure no error codes.
