So i took the Leon to Rockingham today, My car being one of the Ex-SEAT UK press cars its no stranger to Rockingham.. it was my first time on a real track day, ive been to lots of "drive around" the track sessions but never a full on track day. I paid the extra for a tutor to come out with me and i can well recommend it to any other new people. The tutor was really good he kept egging me on to go faster and faster through corners and by the end of the session i was going alot faster than my first lap.

Few pics and Video's taken by the GF from the pits.

So how was the car?

Well all as i can say is it surprised me, it handled so well out there i really wasn't expecting to be as good as it was. The LSD was working well and the brake upgrade was superb, When you come out of the last corner your foot is then planted and you arrive at the first corner which is also very banked because its part of the racing oval I was arriving at that corner doing around 125mph (clock speed not GPS) quick dab of the brakes and then turn into the corner and keep the foot semi planted, The second corner which is a hair-pin style corner you arrive at it doing approx 100mph and you need to brake very hardly to enter it. Now if i still had my 345mm single pot setup i wouldn't of managed to brake how i needed to for this corner, The 370mm 4 pots on the other hand stopped me exactly how i needed them to :)

I have well and truly got the track bug now, i was tempted to stay for the afternoon session but the GF and mate wanted to go for food.

Few minor updates

1. Used torque app this morning to test the G/S of the Neuspeed P-Flo and it manages 244g/s which isn't great think im going to invest in a better intake soon.

2. Picked up this

Its a Piper Cat-Back System, will be fitted in next week or so

3. Hopefully purchasing some Schroth Harnesses from TFSI Mike, They plug into the rear seat belt buckles and then into the front ones as well, can be easily unattached if you need to use rear seats... obviously these will only be used for trackdays etc dont plan to use them everyday

TFSI Mike bought them when he was out in Germany i liked the sound of them because they are really easy to fit/remove

I wanted Yellow ones for my red FR, These are black so wont be as in your face

Got home from a 12 hour night shift, decided to unload the exhaust out of the boot and put it in the garage for now.. while i was doing it thought might aswell give the exhaust tips a polish, as you do at 6am :cartman:
