So the next piece of the jigsaw

On Tuesday Alex at AKS Tuning is going to be doing some more work for me.

Hes fitting a brand new set of H&R Springs, Hes also fitting my existing W-ALK and THS FR3 Engine Mounts and also doing a full Alignment after

I've tried pro springs and sport lines and now h&r and they are so much better.

So today i had some Vinyl work done by a local company in Cheshire (close to Mum & Dads)

Finished

The lad who has done it wasn't 100% happy with it so he said he wants to re-do it in a few weeks, The type of vinyl he has used wasn't the best stuff to use for this job so he wants to use another type of vinyl

Decided to give the car its first wash tonight because im at Mum and Dads they dont have a hose pipe ban

Also Mum gave me a Leather cleaning kit from one of her friends Mercedes (He gets a new Merc every year so gets alot of gifts with them)

So i gave the Seat's a clean and condition, they feel and look better now

So today i visited AKS Tuning (Alex previously from BDM) and had the following done

H&R Springs (Supplied and fitted)
THS FR3 Engine Mounts (Off my FR)
W-ALK (Off my FR)
NGK Spark Plugs
Full Alignment

As you can see i have 2 subframes, one with THS Fitted, one OEM

in this pic you can see the old gearbox mount and also the Forge Quickshifters and 42 Draft Design bushes

Feels Lower, Feels Better

On my old FR TDI the THS FR3 Engine mounts felt amazing but they did make it vibrate like hell, On this is vibrates a little when accelerating from standing but after than it doesnt vibrate it feels so much more positive

Alignment wasnt far out but it feels more stable now

Same I found that the springs changed the car you can feel its lower and after I had the tracking done which wasn't far out either felt more stable when cornering at speed great bit of kit to be honest and I like the colour too.

Another Update

I was at APR about a week ago chatting about GTI International when i said to Keith that i quite fancied some kind of APR Branding for the car for GTI International, He went to a cupboard behind his desk and said what like these... A set of stickers for a MK5 3 Door Golf Racecar, Anyway today Andy one of the APR Technicians fitted them for me

Not to everybody's taste, i think there quite subtle, not to in your face, Plan is to leave them on for GTI International then i might leave them on till they look tatty
