Im hoping to make a shield for it that fits near the filter itself to shield it from hot air (like a few of the other induction kits)
When i fit this i wont be able to re-fit my LCR engine cover as the air filter is built into it, so i have 3 options
1, Buy a Cupra engine cover and chop it up
2, Buy a Audi TT-S Engine cover (these fit without modification)
3, Leave the engine cover off, Fit Red coilpacks
I have my engine cover but am keeping it incase I put the car back to stock if I sell one day, or sell with mods on, aint made my mind up yet lol. I am liking the idea of the TT cover though with no mods.
Andrew what do you mean by the red coilpacks being an option? if you fit them wont you need a cover? ive heard something about moisture getting in if theres no engine cover on is this correct do you know?
Soo been down to my good friend Alex @ AKS Tuning today, i wanted the intake to be fitted properly instead of me making a hash of it!
So here's the pics
Standard Airbox (Built into Engine Cover)
Standard set up without cover
Neuspeed
Fitted
Car looking quite clean
Initial thoughts, Sound's like Darth Vader's Spanish cousin is hiding in the glove box, noticeably picks up quicker and feels like its pulling better etc
So whats next? well Alex is fitting me some Metal bushes that go onto the gearbox soon, Also getting my middle box removed for more noise and maybe some Red coilpacks
Looking good Andrew.
My only advise would be not to remove the middle silencer as the Remus back box is shite. I fitted my downpipe and sportscat and the baffles seem to rattle in the original silencer, it did sound good on the road but I'd be a little unsure how it would be without the middle silencer.
Go buy a B.C.S system you know you want too.
