Annoyed!

Went to on e of my local seat stealers just to order some parts (LCR Splitter and Cupra console gauge pod) i had the part numbers and what they are but they wanted to know the chassis number to order them!!! Do they need it? I dont think they do-waste of a journey. Also i asked the priced up for a cambelt change withe tensioner and water pump (metal impeller) and service, lol this is the qoute i got back

Cambelt, tensioner- £221.59 parts and labour

Waterpump- £275.26 parts and labour !HOW MUCH!

Service- £141.03 (+ £44 for brake fluid change) £185.03

What do other people think of this?

id imagine that those jobs were quoted on there own, doesn't the cam belt have to be reomved to do the water pump??? im pretty sure it does. so id hope the extra money with waterpump quote was inc new cambelt aswell.

Cambelt changes on there own are usually 200 quid thats what we charge at the garage i work at, but thats honda, not seat. service cost seems average to me? sounds like an intrim service though, see what parts they'll be fitting. 44 quid bfc id say youd been quoted 35 elsewhere can they match it??

Not too sure why they asked you for your chassis number mate. i got my splitter and other bits with out them needing it.

As regards the servicing etc i just go to a respectable garage near me. I had some work done on my old ibiza by main dealer and to be honest the service and price etc was just rediculous.

i had a £200 service a while back - got the fuel injectors cleaned, engine flush, and oil plugs etc changed. They put it on the rollers too and i had gained 4bhp from the injector clean so can't be that bad
