ANOTHER aerial question..

seen alot of aerial thread about how 2 remove the standard aerial. if i do this and anither aerial doesnt work is it possible for me to install the standard aerial again and is it easy?

yes u can put it back in screw it back, however the metal clip inside the aerial base that attaches to the bottom of the aerial wont re atach.

when i removed the aerial for the first time it was very difficult (anti-theft thingy) second time was also very hard! the anti theft mechanism still seems intact but i have a CTR aerial now! but it will just screw back on! but wether the anti-theft bit still works is another question!

well when u take it apart, (like I needed 2 lol) theres a little contact within this tiny metal circle that conacts the bottom metal bit and then conects to the aerial with a small made 2 brake weld/glue join whatever it is when u pull it off it doesnt go back too what it was. Wish this had came up the other day I would have taken pictures off it taken apart as I needed to do mine

goes back on fine but gets easier to take off after few times

dont see how its easier after a few times as far as I could tell that clip once broken makes it easier. Unless I broke summit bad,

well got the aerial off and put smaller bee-sting silver 1 on instead. absolute no difference in signal quality for the radio and looks a lot better lol

i hate the ibiza aerial but i can't be arsed with this sounds like a nightmare id probably dent my roof or something trying to remove it!

cut top bit off i did looks better same radio reception just saw the top bit where it goes thin off

Thought croakey was well into his and had lotsa plans, i remember him from ukfiestanetwork i was on.
