i was offered £9k for my Jun06 FR TDi (14 months old, 7k)
my Polo is far nicer to drive and has the extra's I've craved since I bought the Ibiza lol

Was trying to source a 6 month old one, but they havnt got many extras some of them. So at the moment its looking like a brand spanker in performance blue. The only prob is the 8-9 week delivery time and my car is sold, so I will be using the motorbike in all weathers until it arrives

Dont think it will be a ford, salesman at arnold clark said no to a test drive unless I sorted out finance first, I tried to tell him that I have cash and dont do finance, but he then said I still couldnt guarentee me buyuing the car!!! wtf I thought and left, dont think they will sell many cars in that dealership!!

I got the same treatment at Arnold Clark when I went enquiring about a new car in April, they didn't want to know unless I was prepared to take out finance.
I went to a Seat dealership & was treated the way a customer should be treated........with respect!!!

I also had that treatment at the reno dealership when the salesman said, are you sure you can afford a car like this!! I just turned around and walked off, he thought he was some sort of highly paid salesman, get a grip!!

Cool, good for you mate, nice cars the ST, can get near 300bhp with few mods, n that 5cyl engine sounds awesome, like an old skool audi quattro! U'll hav to post sum pics when u get it!

When talking to Perrys about a 1.4 FS Ibiza, the salesman refused to give me a finance illustration unless I put a deposit down on the car?! wtf!

So you might not have been able to test drive without a finance deal in place, but I didn't even get that far! Unbelievable!

its quite funny, i think some sales man are on a different planet, its like they aint there to sell cars sometimes and just piss people off!!!

An audi salesman sorted out a finance package for me on a 2nd hand mk2 TT and offered to let me have a test drive in it. He also gave me loads of audi customer goodies. I only went in there to have a look lol.

Ford are ******s most of the time though. Was ready to buy a fiesta but they was being stupid about things. Atleast I gained from it though as I ended up with a nicer car. My beloved ibiza. Ford servicing is cheap though.
