I've fitted my coilovers, but unfortunately my arb and drive shafts are catching
Is there any other drop links that fit other than the adjustable ones? dont have 50 to spare right now XD

thanks :)

The coils are obviously set too low. Raise the car to a sensible height and you'll have no more problems!

i wouldn't say it was stupidly low?
if i rise it then i'd be defeting the objective of fitting the coilovers lol

I had this problem with my coilovers on my golf. I solved the problem by getting a pair of adjustable drop links. Then put the car on a 4 poster ramp, place the arb so it sits where it will clear the driveshaft, measured the distance between the arb mount hole and the drop link, it was about 10cm. I then modified the drop link by cutting one of the half of the drop links, and then welded back onto the mount of the drop link. so before the modification, the drop link min length was about 15cm to a max of 20cm, but that caused rubbing, after the modification the min length was 8cm to a max of 12cm.

yes the adjustable I found to be too long. What you need to do is measure the distance between your arb and the mount point to see if the one posted will fit directly or need to be shortened. It depends on the type of arb you have and how big the hoop is. you could try to find an arb the fit below the driveshaft, but they don't always solve the problem.

So just measure from the bar to the mount point on the strut?
So what did you cut in the new links? The threaded bar or the links themselves?

Cheers for the help :p

Just had the car on the ramp at work and my arb goes under the drive shaft and isnt fauling. One of the plastic covers has come loose and is scraping. So I wont need shorter links afterall . Even Even tho ive just ordered them lol!

Yeah car is sorted now no more squeeks/scrapes! So I lowered it a little more for good measures :)
And on the plus side I emailed the guy with the drop links explaining and he cancelled my order and issued a refund. Win all round

Thanks again guys :D

No such thing as too/stupidly low. ;)

Strongly disagree. When someone cracks a sump on a speedbump/raised ironwork or has driveshafts rubbing, that's stupidly low as its not safe.

Yes I agree when their dangerous its stupid. But as said it wasnt rubbing. And I have 4 speed bumps just getting into my street and it goes over them with no issues/catching or knocking :)
