Hi I'm looking to change my injector seals. The 2 O rings.

I've searched for threads and vids, seems to be a lot of info on diesel cars but not so much on mine. Ok so it's a mk1 leon(52) plate. 1.8t Cupra AUQ engine.

I'm looking for a step by step guide if possible guys, want to do this today but unsure about just tearing in lol

Any help is much appreciated !!

It's really really easy.

Remove the plugs and clips, undo the Allen key bolts on the manifold, lift the rail out with the injectors, replace the seals. Remove the injectors from the rail if necessary to replace both the top and bottom seals then refit in the reverse order.

Cycle the ignition to prime the fuel system, check for leaks then fire it up. Check again for leaks then road test it.

I'll be doing all 8 MJ, so yeah !!

I won't start car before I do it so in theory all the pressure should have gone ??

The pressure isn't that high anyway. If you remove the clip off one of the injectors the pressure will drop so rapidly there won't be a great deal of spillage or danger. Just bare in mind every time you open the drivers door or turn on the ignition the fuel pump will prime.

Haha I knew you were gonna ask that, lol u may regret it !! ;)

Ok so try and keep it short !!

Took this leon as a trade 8 weeks ago. It was a shed to say the least but I got on with repairing it. I had an audi previously so some knowledge of the 1.8t.

The issue is around 2k revs (1900-2100) the car hesitates or feels like fuel is being starved or shut off. It only happens on part throttle and when past the 2100 range it clears and pulls hard !!

So far I've changed n75 for another used 1, new Bosch MAF, 4 coil packs, 4 new ngk plugs, checked all vac lines and replaced 1 from the pcv valve, replaced stock dv for 007p with yellow, oil filter service, fuel filter, several suspension stuff( unrelated to issue), revo stage 1

Think that's what I've done so far. No codes apart from p1602 low voltage so brand new Bosch batt. Issue still there. I have a forge tip to go on and just went and bought the 8 injector seals as I found the mani had weeping on 3 of them.

Sorry for the essay lol

It lives at the end of the fuel rail and has a vac pipe going to it, make sure the vac line is ok and remove the big metal clip (do this once you've done the seals so there's no pressure) once the clip is removed pull the reg up and out, make sure there's no debris, the diaphragm is ok and free to move and it's not ruptured.
