Any one had check deadlocks?

Says on my dash when ignition is on check deadlocks and I can't seem to get the doors to lock when you drive away

i get it when i take my key out of ign before leaving the car had it on both my ibizas both 62 plate and dealer said it was normal and if i wanted it to auto lock above 10mph needed to be turned on with vagcom

You can turn on lock above 15kmh without VAGCOM.
I've done it but as it was a one-time thing you'll have to look in your manual or Google it, unless someone here remembers from memory.

The deadlock message is normal after switch off but not while running, it's just a reminder to make sure the remote locks (put on the handle).

the auto lock function is in the manual, I've managed it on a 12 plate se version.
You hold the lock button in and turn the key 1 click then hold for 10 seconds and let go.
It some thing along those lines

That's ok then. Maybe I was doing the lock button in he wrong order. Ill have another go
