If so, did it come with gaitor and plastic ring at the bottom (to secure it into the car), or was it just the knob.

Also, how much was it and do you have the part numbers?

Cheers

not worth buying in my humble opinion. the painted finish around the centre at the top flakes away. you'd be better of getting a seat sport knob. thats what i'll be doing in the new year.

I agree that's what I'm after too. The LCR one I have has paint missing on the ring around the top where it has flaked away as you suggest. A common problem that I have heard a few times now! Only problem is seat sport ones cost a bomb! They look like Momo ones (might even be momo rebadged as a seat part?)so it might be cheaper to buy an aftermarket one.

LCR knob is a bit naff for paint flaking... can buy knob on it's own £60 maybe not sure but if you replace the gaitor it will come with the knob £150 total.

I use a seat sport knob, sits lower and is far nicer although fitting was fiddly as diameter is different and attaching to gaitor the leather is a pain to get in the securing collar.

i want the black sport one but like peeps said its the price that puts me off, one just went on ebay for 45quid i think second hand

its the spherical, first time i seen the red, might have a go at that next year

here is the one i'm going to go for

I just got the sport black leather one off ebay for £60 and it was brand new in the box :). Yes expensive and looks a pain to fit. Not put on yet :). If you don't get a metal ring to secure to the gear stick shaft you can always use a small hose clip.

mine is as above but its all ali
the perforated part which is black above is silver like the bottom half

If you say it's for an altea it'll cost ~£25 less for a seat sport one ;)

as above with leather instead of carbon look I went for, its a great 'knob' ;)

Yep , I liked yours so much I copied it :D I prefer the leather because it matches the interior - there's not carbon anywhere else.

The only thing I don't like is that it can be freezing on really cold mornings.

Seems to sharpen the gear shift up a bit as well.

i have taken a leather seat sports gear knob off mine and put a standard one on, it was on the car when i bought it looks like there made buy momo i also have a spare lcr gaiter (red stich)
