I've just paid £135 delivered in rapid time by David @ Seres and would recommend it without hesitation, however, I had serious reservations regarding an after market jobbie:

1. Dubious quality, you don't know what your getting till it's too late, they could be good but they are cheap for a reason.

2. Will without doubt block the handbrake.

3. Will block the cup holders

4. Will always look as if it were an after thought IMO.

Seriously fellas, go with an oem, you won't be disappointed.

On the subject of the SEAT armrest I have been quoted £185 fitted to my orderd LCR (still 4 weeks to wait - ordered on 3 Jun!). I was wondering if having it in any way obscures the buttons on the central consule (and what are those buttons for?!).

Cheers

It wont obscure at all. The buttons are:

1) open/ lock doors
2) traction control, ESP
3) electric door mirror controls

I have the armrest on my fr (was on it when i bought it) and its the worst part of the car. Its good on a long drive but other than that it just creeks and gets in the way. I might sell it at the right price.

Bought this one from eBay as seller agreed to refund me minus postage costs if I didn't find it perfect

Just wanted to say that it fitted really easily and feels very good, it has been specially made to fit the mk2 leon, so the bit that clips onto the car has been moulded to the perfect shape to fit it. It does the job for me perfectly, when driving locally I just lift it up and don't use it (as I need to change gears) and on the motorway I tilt it down and use it and its great, for those of you who want a decent armrest but don't want to pay 130 odd quid, I recommend this one

Here is a picture of it fitted

very interested mate, it looks like it fits well. how does it compare to the OEM?

Can you get drinks in there

Couldn't tell you how it would compare against oem mate, but it's definitely good. And yes you can get to 1 cup holder if the armrest if tilted away

I got my oem from ebay for £65 new, but it's very rare to get it at that price. Still would buy oem anytime over aftermarket. I'm very happy with it in the car and it' doesn't get in a way like ro8 said
