Anyone got aftermarket headlights?

Hey there

I was wondering if anybody has got aftermarket head lights with LEDs? I just recently bought ones by Dectane and the LEDs in the right head light unit shut off after a while and sometimes both LEDs (left and right) just shut off. I've tried everything I possibly can but to no avail.

The reason I am asking if anybody has aftermarket headlights with LEDs is because I'd like to know if you guys have sensors/resistors/decoders that connect to the LEDs in order to avoid problems with the CAN-BUS system? I know that Willz and Invincible have sensors in their head light units which I'd like to know what they look like and possibly where I can get them. I've tried contacting Dectane 4 days ago but received no response.

If anybody can take up-close pictures of the sensors, or at least know where I can find them please let me know.

Thank you very much. Any help or information is appreciated

Oh my.. thank you so much, I honestly don't know what to tell you. I've been constantly thinking about this issue and it was driving me crazy. Thank you again. I'm going to place an order tomorrow morning. Does eBay require PayPal or can I use my master card directly? I'll try to find the fastest shipping method possible because I don't want to wait three weeks for this. -.-

By the way, is installing those resistors easy? does it require a lot of rewiring?

Thanks again, I owe you.

Crap I am not allowed to use the "Buy it" feature as I don't have a PayPal account. I also can't get in touch with the seller, this is what it says:

We're sorry but we couldn't find an answer for you. Unfortunately, this seller is unable to respond to your question. We suggest reviewing the item again to see if your answer is in the seller's listing.

I found his email address in the Contact Details and I emailed him. Let's hope he can reply asap.

No problem glad to help. I used ebay cause its piss easy to find what you are looking for. I used paypal aswell.. You now no what you are looking for, so maybe a electrical shop will have them.. With regards to installing them, its a 5 min job. No cutting wires, thats what those blue connectors are for. Off the top of my head i think its the black wire and white wire.. I get some pictures for you tomorrow as its late in the UK. But still go a head and buy those resistors

Thanks, mate. I am going to try. In the mean time I'll also see if any electrical shops would have them. What are the specifications of these resistors? I know that resistors have different loads and stuff. I'd like to know exactly what to ask the electrical shop for?

"50W 3ohm LOAD RESISTOR" is that the exact specifications I should be looking for? or is it these? "(1156/382, 1157/380 , 3157/7440/7443)"

Thanks a bunch. If you can also let me know exactly which colors they plug into, that would be great. If I remember correctly, there are three wires in each head light, white, black, and green, but I'm not certain about the colors themselves.

That is the exact same seller and item. :D

It's okay, mate, I now understand where you're coming from. I should be searching for "50W 3 Ohm load resistors". I already found tens of sites selling them.

By the way, when it comes to the blue connectors, how do they work exactly? Do you plug the wire coming from the head light into the blue connector and then the resistor into the blue connector from the other side?

2 x 50w 6ohm load resistors. Each load resistor is 6 ohm and you need 2 plus 4 connecting blocks.. I send you picture when i get home from work tomorrow. Dont worry your light will be working buy the weekend

Alright mate thank you very much. I thought 3 Ohm is what you needed, though, or at least that's what is in the eBay link. No worries, anyway. Please try and take close pictures so I can see exactly how they are connected to each other. Sorry to bother you.

Hey mate! Any luck with the pictures? :D

A friend of mine is advising me to order them online rather than buying them from here. Aren't the ones on eBay Chinese as well?

Work perfectly fine now =]

Would you be able to take up-close pictures of the resistors? Would they happen to look anything like the ones linked above by paul? I'm assuming they're different and don't require any sort of rewiring but just plug and play, though, correct?

In the mean time can anyone tell me which wire color is supposed to connect to the resistor? There are about two or three different colored wires coming out of each head light unit. I am not sure what the colors are but I think they were green, black, and something, but not sure. I'm about to go and search for the load resistors right now. Thanks!
