I have 2007 altea with the MFD and the OEM Bluetooth (5p0862335b) which only works for the phone. I also installed a Dension Gateway 300 and could not be happier about that.
The only thing I miss dearly is to be able to use Whatsapp and Skype calls through the Bluetooth and I suspect it could work but I don't know how yet. The phone works perfectly.
The phone shows conected as phone only (not media) and when I receive a Skype call my own phone number shows on the MFD and when I pick up it works for 2 or 3 seconds and then the connection is lost. Same with whatsapp. I tried the BT Mono router (samsung note 3 runing android 6) and did not make a difference.
I wonder if the firmware on the BT can be upgraded or if there is any tweak to make this work. I have family overseas and spend a lot of time on my car and it would be great if I can add this.
I want to keep things oem for now.
Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated.
