Howdy.
I have the oem Blaupunkt Se360 with mp3 and bluetooth connectivity which i can control from my steering wheel and the big mfd.
I want to add usb/ipod support so I can control folders and akip songs from the steering wheel.
As part of my research I came across the not so expensive rcd510s which ship from china and I wonder what happens with the bluetooth and the steering controls.
I would hate to gain one functiinality only to loose another.
As it is now I can only use BT for phone calls only and it would be cracking if I can use it for whatsapp and skype calls as well.
Anyone out there that went through this upgrade who could confirm the outcome?
Maybe recommend another model in the £100 region?
I am unsure whether I need to update the canbus as well and if so if it could only be done via VCDS. I use OBDeleven for diagnostics and that proved to be plenty for what I needed in the past. Mine is a 57 Altea 1.9 TDI reference.
