Anyone noticed a little play in their steering???

I have had my LC for just over 2 months and am absolutely lovin' it! However, I have noticed that when stationery, my steering wheel has a bit of play in it. Sitting stationery, when I give the wheel a light wiggle from side to side, it moves a couple of cms or degrees without turning the wheels. It's like it is a litttle loose but its not

I originally thought it was the near side track rod end but after having the whole suspension side of things checked out, there is not fault?

Does anyone else experience this? Can anyone shine any light on this?

i have this and am not overly happy about it but the dealer refuses to do anything its apparently slack in the joint on the stearing column. LAst time they looked at it i went and played with a few other LCR and they all seemed the same. This has only started recently though the cars at 30k and 2 years old.

millzeee, that sounds like a good explanation. i wonder if its easy to tighten up the joint in the steering column as its beginning to nip my head a bit. my car has done almost 114k tho.........

its a universal joint on the stearing column so not adjustable, if its really bad you could change it but i bets its a whole load of work.
