What's your insurance like ? Been getting quotes for over £10000  cheapest I've found so far is £2800 which seems a bit expensive :(

Sorry to be so blunt, but what do you expect? The younger you are, the more it will be to insure a performance car. As above, try putting a family member on the policy. Putting my sister on took around £300 off the premium

Sum1 by me drives a Leon cupra k1 or sumin White black wheels tints carbon bonnet n the exhausts spit flames he's 17,... Jelous gotta say. Good job I'm better looking ;)

Yer i was 18 when i got my bocanegra :) 19 two days after, insurance is very reasonable :) with Admiral

Yes i have a Cupra and i'm 19 - im just over £1000 for mine with Admiral, which is reasonable at my age for a car like this.
Give them a try

I'm 23 and the FR is costing me £327 with 5 years no claims and 3 points.

When I was 19 I was paying about £900 for a Ford Escort. Performance cars like Cupras are gonna cost a frickin' fortune for young drivers, and so they should. Hell, I don't trust myself with a 1.6 Ibiza, let alone a 200+ brake Cupra, and neither do the insurers.

You need to get some years no claims under your belt, but for the time being, you can try adding on (preferably older) females, such as your Mum/Aunty providing they've got no accidents or points. That tends to knock quite a chunk off. I added my missus who's 21 onto my FR I'm getting next week and it dropped the price by £80, which is about 20%. Unfortunately my Mother's had a number of arguments with her gate posts, so I couldn't put her on.

I did a quick check and it'd cost me about £1500 to insure a new Cupra. You should do what I'm doing buddy - stick with nice, low insurance group cars, for a few years. Try and get to 25 without killing or maiming anyone and then almost anything is reasonably priced. Unless you've got the cash to burn that is, in which case, go for it and post the pictures!

Oddly for me the FR TDI was more expensive than the Cupra...with quotes of 750 for the latter and 920 for the derv  and im 21.

But wtf, 17yo with a k1? that's just dangerous! Didn't know a TFSI could spit flames either with direct injection

im 19 and got a boc only reason i got it is because it was cheaper to insure than both my other cars and run and tax etc.
Just over 1100 quid fully comp with 2 yrs driving experience and 2 yrs ncb and ive got five points from when i had to go court cuple of years ago if i didnt have the points it would be 950 quid fully comp again that was with admiral.
Only had the car a week now and i know full well im not going to regret 1 second of it :D:D

God that's cheap. Haven't been on admiral yet but on the price comparison websites it saying 2500 is it better to go to them direct ?
